If you want to buy the new iPhone 15 model, we’ve got some great deals for you. These are available at carriers and retailers, as well as with certain plans from Apple.
The 128GB iPhone 15 is the cheapest model that Apple offers. It’s a good option if you don’t like to stream movies and music and plan to keep all your photos in iCloud Photo Library.
Price
Some were expecting Apple to raise prices ahead of the iPhone 15 release. Production costs, supply chain issues and inflation in global markets made that likely.
However, the company kept prices steady at launch. It did, however, remove the 128GB option from the gia iphone 15 lineup, which now starts at 256GB for $1,199 versus the previous start price of $1,099 with a 128GB model.
For those who frequently shoot high-resolution video or photos, use iCloud to store movies and music, or download large games, a bigger storage tier is probably a good idea. A 256GB model will work for most people, but if you’re going to spend $999 on an iPhone, you might as well get the one with the most internal storage possible.
Storage
The iPhone 15 series is a step up from previous generations with a faster processor and a new ProMotion display. But it’s also more expensive than its predecessors and doesn’t come with a microSD card slot for expanded storage. You’ll need to pay for iCloud, buy a USB-C compatible drive, or make do with the 128GB of internal storage.
For some people, that may not be enough. If you like to download a lot of movies or music and plan to shoot high-resolution video, you’ll need a lot more than 128GB. And if you’re not an iCloud user, you’ll likely find yourself managing your local storage frequently.
A rumor suggests that Apple will offer up to 2TB of storage for the new iPhones. This isn’t a standard option for most smartphones, but it would be a big boost for power users and photographers who prefer to keep their files stored locally. It could also help offset the hefty price increase that’s expected for the Pro models.
Best Deals
Apple’s new iPhone 15 models are a significant upgrade over last year’s lineup, with a stronger lightweight titanium design, a more powerful A16 Bionic chip, and USB-C ports. Apple also added a new feature to its Pro models that allows you to charge your iPad or Mac using the same cable.
Both the standard iPhone 15 and its jumbo-sized counterpart, the iPhone 15 Plus, will come with 128GB storage by default. If you want to splurge, the maxed-out iPhone 15 Pro Max will have 512GB of storage for $1,099.
To make this new phone more affordable, carriers are offering some great deals. For example, AT&T is giving away the iPhone 15 for free with a trade-in and an unlimited plan. Verizon is also giving customers a $1,000 credit toward the iPhone 15 Pro or $1,830 off on the 15 Plus, depending on which model they choose and which unlimited plan they’re on. These discounts will be applied over the course of 24 months as monthly bill credits.
Where to Buy
Apple has a few different ways to help consumers get into the iPhone 15 or 16 without breaking the bank. First, consumers can find a great deal in the used and refurbished market on apps like Swappa and Back Market.
The next way is by taking advantage of offers from carriers or major retailers. Verizon, for example, will give you up to $1,000 in bill credits if you sign up for an iPhone 15 and trade in last year’s model.
T-Mobile will have preorders for the iPhone 15 and Pro available starting September 15. You can also sign up for a device payment plan with the carrier to get a free phone or pay it off in monthly installments. Best Buy and Apple also allow you to trade in your current device or another piece of tech for credit toward the cost of an iPhone. However, you won’t see the same increased trade values as when purchasing through a carrier.
